Re: And why should the public have access to these again?

I'd say there's a lot on here that wouldnt personally do it themselves, no matter how tough they act. I personally wouldnt have an abortion if I were a woman, but I am pro-choice. I personally am not gay, but I think if there are a gay/lesbian couple who want to see each other in the hospital, they should be able to. I personally am a christian, but believe a person should have the right to believe in what-ever they want no matter how different it is than my religion.

Re: And why should the public have access to these again?

I've already said it in this post, and I'll say it again.

You sit here and squabble over owning an uzi, your right to the second amendment. It is ludicrous really when you have already lost one of the most important of your basic rights. You say the second amendment is to fight back against unjust government, yet you say nothing and continue supporting the same criminals who installed the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001, better known as the Patriot Act. The fact that is called the Patriot Act is a slap in the face to all of us if you ask me. But who cares right? As long as I can own a gun to stop all the gangbanging thugs that run rampantly through these parts, and blow a million holes in a squirrel who cares if someone is listening to my phone conversations, and accessing every part of my life.

i have no problem with the patriot act being called that because it doesnt really affect the rights of normal citizens.......its was established to give more power to look deeper into the lives of suspected terrorists living here

Dont know of any and havent heard of many terrorist plots being foiled around here or too many places for that matter due to the Patriot Act. Probably wouldnt believe it if I did.

    they arent stripping my rights

when was the last time you were racially profiled at an airport for having a name similar to that on a terror watch list?

how about the last time somebody tapped your phone and raided your house because you were suspected of discussing a suspicious plot with a known or suspected member of a terrorist group?

thats what the patriot act allows for

please explain what rights you personally have had to give up as a result of the patriot act

    ill be waiting
